SITA are now delivering the new Security Industry Trailblazer Apprenticeship in partnership with North West Training Council. Contact us now for details.
Our industry is going through substantial change at present. One area of change that effects training is the ending of the current City & Guilds 1853 and 2882 qualifications and Apprenticeship in December 2019 and the introduction of the new Trailblazer Apprenticeship.
The Trailblazer Apprenticeship has a duration of 36 months, with end testing starting at the 33rd month. The outcome will provide an apprentice with a Level 3 Apprenticeship, but unfortunately at present there is no formal certification by a recognised body such as City & Guilds.
The Trailblazer was introduced in February 2017, and has now been fully completed. The scheme is to be co-funded by the Government, with an Employer contribution being made. It is anticipated that the split will be 90% by the Government and 10% by the Employer, this should equate to approximately an £1800.00 contribution from the employer.
Areas covered in the Trailblazer Apprenticeship will be:-
The different Pathways are:-
Security (Intruder Alarm Systems, CCTV Systems & Access Control)
Security & Fire Alarms,
Fire & Emergency Lighting.
